Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

yes. GI_JOE.

I'm going to add some fog or clouds to the bridge. and little bit lighting to make the scene look like in the evening

The bridge looks good. Fog is good, especially in San Francisco. This will be a great experiment in lighting.

I like your bridge mayaguy_dr! Nice detail.

ehy Hidalgo, the foggy one is mine!!!! (ehehe, spot the fog to cover the crappy details... user added image
I am going to work on it more this weekend, I haven't had time to do anything with it. I know other people get the modelling down before they get the textures and lights, but I need to see it as a whole to understand what needs done.
I think it's a wicked coincidence we both got working on the same subject! Don't make mine look too bad, ok?? user added image

Looking good.

I think there should be at least a hint of a city in the background. Feels awfully empty as is.

Maybe if you just made the building a touch more prominent in the background and then maybe a hint of a mountain range behind the buildings...

I like the colors and the look of the fog (clouds) passing through the bridge.

Very nice!

I just recently skimmed over the compositing fx tutorial in the free tuts. Didn't catch it all, but couldn't you use some of those tricks and use photoshop to help make the city stand out ?

If you haven't already, check out the vid. I think it might help.

BTW, nice looking bridge and env. user added image

Yea, you should be able to create a mask around the outline of the buildings and change whatever you need to.

I think...
