Ok here is my upgrade list:
MSI GeFore 4 Ti4800 SE 8x/4x 128Mb DDR
1024Mb PC-2100 DDR
KDS XF-7t 17" CRT X-flat
^^ Is for a dual monitor setup. My monitor now is a XF-7b, but I couldn't find it. The only differance between the two is the button layout.

yes, but not all cards can handle the modification...so it's not always 100% sure

900 Mhz P3
128 MB Ram
VideoCard? I don´t know, it came with a 2Mb thing I guess.
SoundBlaster I think. (I got it hooked up to my stereo player)
40 Gigs HD
Big monitor from Hp (it´s an HP Pavilion model)
HP keyboard (Which means it has some fancy lights on it)
A CD Writer unit
A CD Reader unit (You know, just to make them focus on their job)

An excellent Maya Unit!

Actually they are physically the same, you just have to get the drivers to install. Here's a link on how to do it.

You may be thinking of the 9500->9700 Pro mod... Only a few of them had the capibility, and of those something like 1/3 couldn't handle it properly.

nope.. will only effect viewport speed.

cheaper and (currently)more reliable alternative - buy a ti4200 128mb(can be had for around £100), mod it to a Quadro 4 750 using rivatuner (use either 30.82 or 41.09 detonators), and enjoy Maya and any other pro opengl app running speedily as you like, with no visual artifacts/redraw glitches and above all stable as hell! user added image
pic attached to prove it works (and there is no chance of any damage to your hardware, and as long as you follow the instructions ok, zero chance of failuire user added image
