This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

my first maya thing (its crap)

here is my first finished project.
Jack-in-the-box without any tuts (danny told me that there is a tut in a maya book).
mmh..is there a way to import maya objects into bryce?

no its not from any book.
I only made a Jack-in-the-box cuz I didnt know what to do and Kevin told me that I coul make a Jack-in-da-box.

try and poly model the face... or maybe with sub-d ??

I find it damn hard to make anything real cool with da sculp tool

Hey, about opening in bryce.. im pretty sure there is a program that can do it, you save it as a certain format which can be read by lots of different 3d programs. If anyone knows the name of this, or where to get it user added image. If it comes back to mind i will let you know. As for your jack in the box, good start! If the head wasnt there i would be wondering why you posted it, but you have a lot of expression in that face you made! Great job.

formatwonder3d works with bryce 4 only. i have bryce 5 and quite experienced with it.

What have you made in bryce? may i see some? and what bryce do you have? maybe we could exchange tips. Its rare to find an experienced bryce user.
