nodes in hypershade

how can you force the lines between the nodes to be rectilinrear ?

Oh, I think he means rectangular? maybe?

You could right-click in a black part of the hypershade window, and go down to GRAPH > REARANGE GRAPH.

Then right-click again, and choose VIEW > FRAME ALL user added image

Ohh

I meant lines that go with 90 degrees angles between them - this is not a term I invented

in my Maya these lines are always diagonal and go between the output , directly into the input

Definition: Distance, paths, lines, etc. which are always parallel to axes at right angles. For example, a path along the streets of Salt Lake City or the moves of a rook in chess.
