July Challenge - M - MOD

Hey guys I sat down and drew this Wolf / Bone beast guy and I am going to go with this for this months challenge! I will probably use a bracer for the control user added image. Anyways, yea.. it may change a bit here and there, especially the face... but it is the basic idea! I know its not a great drawing, thats why i will be taking art lessons as of next year.

I am having a friend of mine redraw this but his style (hes an awesome artist).. and after thats done I will start modelling. Just wanted to show you the first step though!

Shit that looks like a fun game! By the way, I was inspired with the spikes from Brotherhood of the wolf.. a movie. Mostly everything else though is just a standard large beast user added image.

Heh, yep this challenge is going to be a toughy. Heres the beast that my friend Iddi Drew user added image. I think its awesome, the only thing that i am going to do is add some claws to it, and probably make it a bit more broader user added image. Other than that though, heres what I plan to model for this month user added image. Hopefully I will have something started for today.

Just started on the main body.. this is my first time working with things other than just polygons! I am very excited to be doing this! Already I am incredibly pleased with the powerful techniques that NURBS can do.. wow. I will be reading up a ton in the next few days on how to use them properly along with Polygons so progress may be a bit slow.

Well a bracer is like a shoulderpad.. if i remember right.. or its..... eh, well im not at my best of wits at this time.. but i think i meant to say a gauntlet user added image. Something to go around one of his legs user added image. BTW, i think i will only be working in nurbs for the general shape. I dont have a clue how to do much in nurbs.. so its all just guesses for me! If i figure anything out I will PM you.. heheh.

Ok, I love nurbs for getting the general shape! Anyways, here is where I am at so far, front and back legs attatched. It still needs the claws, the spikes, the head, the horns, the ... the..... uv unwrapping user added image. Lol, nah UV mappin is actually quite fun user added image.. I love what you end up with once its all done, the ability to paint on a image and watch it wrap around a 3d object is amazing!

C&C welcome user added image.
