layered shader help!

OK, I am getting really frustrated. All I am trying to do is create a layered shader, so that the label is opaque, and the bottle is transparent. I set up my shader network per many tutorials, and in the hypershade, my layerd shader node looks perfect. But when I render, there is no transparency? I have the alpha channel correct when you isolate it in the ipr, but I can not get the transparency??? Has anyone had this problem? Basically I am following the digitaltutors layered shader tutorial, and no opacity. I will post an image when I get home. The point is when you look at the layered shader's picture in its attribute editor, it looks perfect. The label is solid and the bottle is transparent, but not on the model. Sorry this is so long winded.......

Do you have the out alpha of your file node connected to the transparency of your shader?

Yes, I do. It looks perfect in the swatch on the layered shader attribute window.

lambert - mapped color with a file(label.tiff) has an alpha channel)
connected files out alpha to lambert transparency r,g,b,

blinn - bottle

connected out color of blinn into shader level 0
connected out color of label to shader level 1

changed transparency of shader level 0, and it looks perfect in shader attribute window.

But as you can see, no transparency in render?

I must be mising one simple step, is it with the Blinn?
