You could try deforming NURBs planes.

Best might be to find a real flower petal. Flatten it and observe the shape. Try to recreate that in a plane. Perhaps via lofting of curves.

Could just greatly resize the plane your character is sitting on.

Or just use photoshop and do fill in the white with the blue colour
