Thanks, the reason I'm asking this is because I'm modelling a building and it has got a spiralized slope for people to walk on, so the script won't help much. This picture shows what I'm talking about: any ideas?

that won't give the desired result because the walking path then isn't flat but sloped so then it isn't a walking path at all

well, yea, u create the curve with the slope going up, and extrusion will follow the path...

Yes I know but the problem is that the extrusion not only followssthe path but also rotates in an other direction, it's hard to explain, i'll try to post a pic...

when you create teh curve you have to make sure that al the points are pointing up, that was the extrude following the path will also be pointing up.
I think you can do that by first creating the spiral flat on the ground using the top view, and then pull the CVs one by one to create the height.

what I mean is that maybe he get's the extrusion tilted because the curve is tilted, and teh curve would be tilted if he doesn't create all the points (using the EP curve tool) in the same way. I've had something like that happen to me before. That's why now I only create the points on a plane and then later move them up.

I've found an easy solution: creat a spiral with the melscript, duplicate an scale x and z axis and loft the two spirals....voila!
