Background color HOW!!??

Ok Dk.. been trying to figure out how in hell I change the background color of software renders to something other than black.. For the life of me I cannot locate the darn option.. I keep getting told to go to display options and it should be there but so far no dice in finding it...

ARG! Want to tear hair out..

Thanks for any info..
