Introduction to Maya - Rendering in Arnold
This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

maximum divisions on extrusion?

I've extruded a poly face along a curve. But my Divisions can only go up to a max of 25.
is there any way of getting it smoother?

thanks

enter the division amount from the keyboard vice middle mouse button dragging. I don't know what or if there is an upper limit. Out of curiosity I set it for 100000 and it didn't report any errors, although it did take a little longer to compute. To be fair, I didn't count them, so Maya may have been faking it. user added image

hhmmm strange.. i tried it and this is what i've concluded:

before extruding from a curve, in the options box, you can get a max value of 100 divisions (either by typing in or ctrl+dragging the field). It won't go past 100.

however you can go to the extrude node (channel box) after the extrusion and increase this value beyond 100.

strange but seems to be what i can see...

thanks for your help mhcannon
