Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Maya --> Lightwave

Hi,

question :

Is there a way to port models and their animations from Maya to Lightwave?

you can export maya files as an *.obj and the lightwave will read this, but i duno about the animation

Get the free FBX plugins from the Alias website. They allow you to transfer models, animations, materials, cameras and lights (not sure about the last two, but the first three are definately there).
