Complex UV Layout in Maya

Kill SUB-Ds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:headbang: Kill SUB-Ds!!!!!!!!!

I can't convert my small polys to sub-ds.
The reason?:angery: Maya says that i am going to have more damned base mesh faces than allowed!! To be more exactly, my shape will have about 10000 faces.

Can someone tell me how to solve this?

P.S.: Probably I would try to keep my little thing a polygon, but I want it as a Sub-D.

increase the number in the conversion options.
