Audi a4

I just started modeling an Audi a4. Im trying to keep the wire as clean as possible. Its my first real try on a car and anything really difficult to model that isn't organic modeling.

well first of all- try to get rid of the 3 and n sided polygons- those will cause you so much pain in the future...;

but apart from that, its a start.

As said get rid of all 3 and N sided polys, and get rid of any edges you dont need. The LESS you have to work with the easier and faster it is to get the desired shape. When you cannot get a shape with what you have THEN you add some polys to ONLY that section and continue. You will save considerable time. I understand you probably poly smoothed for your wire but it might be more helpful at this point to give us the low poly version to crit.

So... long story short

-Use the least amount of polys as you can
-Show us a screen of the low poly wire
-Only add polies if you absolutely need to.
-Have fun.

yea i used the poly smooth wire for the pictures i posted. My project is at school and i forgot to bring it home on a jumpdrive so i'll post a low poly wire on monday. thanks for the advice. user added image

Heres the unsmoothed wire. I added a grill and the holes to the bottom of the bumper, as you can see i still have alot of cleaning up to do with the wire which im currently working on.

Well i've been working on my car rigurously this afternoon, i've been having a hard time with the upper part of the car but i think i finally got it down. I just smoothed it for the last time and going back and making the final adjustments before i attempt to texture itl user added image. I have alot of touching up to do as you can see :headbang:
