Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

graphic hardware problem

hello,

in my output window I've got this massage:
"Your graphics card doesn't support hardware rendering. Pixel shading extensions insufficient."

I understand it could be 2 things:
1.graphic card too weak
2.driver problem (openGL)

now, if you think its a card problem then:
what card should I buy now? I dont want somthing too expensive because my PC is old(1.8GHZ 5 years old LOL) and I will be moving to the USA next year and then I'll buy a Top of The Line PC.

if its the driver problem then I heard that there is a good OpenGL driver running around here and maybe someone could link me up?

BTW
my card is: NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 420

please help

Your card is too weak I believe. The GeForce4 MX series is a 'tuned' GeForce2 I once heard.
Anyway, your card does not support pixel shading so it's a card problem, not a driver problem.
