Head WIP

Hi everyone,

This is a head I've been working on for class and I'd like some critiques on it. I'm trying to do the best I can so I'd appreciate any and all help I can get user added image

Looking like a promising start

Could you post a non smoothed wire?

I looks like youve got a bit of a problem with the cheak.

looks like one of those african woman you see in those discovery channel docos lol but yeah i agree promising start from where ive just been coming from i think ive been working on my character for like 2 weeks now lol

Becareful when you model by point with a proxy,

if you use your low res cage for UV mapping you may end up with texture swimming and or skinning, model by edge if you can:

Thanks everyone for your input. I had to turn it in Monday but couldn't bring it in to Zbrush because my ears were disappearing when I imported it...this is what I got done in Maya though:

We had to do self busts of ourselves. I think I'm going to start a new head (not of myself) and work on making my topology and edge loops better.

Did you check the normals, that maybe one problem you need to look out for when exporting into zbrush, also i would keep the faces as quads. Here is a head that i made a while back hope it helps
