Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Where is the Physical Memory Limit in Mental Ray?

Just can't see it! Am I going blind here or what? Can some one send me a Maya satnav............

Mr keeps saying it's run out of memory and aborts a still image render of a particle emission in mid flow. Is this normal?

Yeah it'll quit if there isn't enough resources. MR will jack everything that's there if he needs it. Get into your Outliner, right click and deselect 'Show DAG objects only', scroll al the way down and find 'mentalrayGlobals', the mem limits should be there under Memory and Performance.
