Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

got balls

hi everybody,

this is just what i end up with after beginning playing around with a sphere and render tests with a hdr image.
first i tried to make it as much realistic as possible but it´s a bit stylised.
worked with maya, mentalray and ps for post-stuff

thx honestdom . i saw your work while digging around : high professional awesome sruff!

i realy would like to do some creamy chocolate thing... don´t know how good maya is with fluids.
adding global illumination to the renderoptions would be nice to try...
still have no experience with gi... and i love tweaking renderoptions and scene setups to get a nice look

hey, i was making a pea shader at work today. It was actually quite fun. its an organic object so you could really put lots of detail in it. It might be a nice exercise to try out.
you already have the bowl user added image

sounds realy interesting! i would realy like to work with that shader. maybe you could upload it somewhere?

Haha, I meant you should do one. It's a natural progression from spheres.

hehe little misunderstanding... but good idea. any suggestions?
subsurface scattering could be nice altough a pea isn´t very translucent...
