Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

texture in all objects

i have a scene with several polygons, but when i apply a texture to one off them it apllies the same texture in all the polygons, how can i avoid that? thanks user added image

Apply a differant shader for each mesh............dave

Also remember to not mess with the lambert1 shader, it's the shader that Maya assigns automatically whenever you create new geometry.
