Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.
Coming along nicely smeeze. If you are modeling with NURBS, then the one way you could do spokes would be to just create cylinders and then rescale them to fit on the rims, and then fillet the cylinders for that extra detail. That's one way I would do it, I hope I could be of any help.
