Try pressing "w"

did you press the Insert key? This puts you in pivot mode, which doesn't display the arrow heads.

in case u haven't solve it, just click on the [Insert] button on ur keyboard one more time then u get back ur arrow :attn:

thanks mtmckinley, i just knew this, although now i have no idea wat is pivot mode, but i hope some day later i would understand that term.
