Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

HIDEING SELECTED FACES

Hi guys,
I'm modeling a low poly female character and have just begun to model the hair.I am extruding edges from her skull in order to create faces that will serve as alpha planes for the hair texture.I am trying to hide just a strip of faces so that I can create faces underneath the ones i'm trying to hide in order to create a more layered hair look by going to Display>Hide> Hide selected but the entire model dissappears.

I'd be most grateful if anyone would let me know where I'm going wrong.(I'm using Maya 4.5)

Many thanks.
