Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

is your character symetrical?
are you having problems with maya's tools specifically; as in they are not working right? or you are not sure how to use them properly?

if your character is symetrical or close to that.
after you paint and edit the weights on one side, simply go to edit smooth skin mirror skin weights, and choose to mirror along whatever axis you are working from. [90% chance it will be the yz plane : positive to negative if you painted the right side on screen.]

Don't forget to go to your bind pose before mirroring.
