Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Zeus Class Cruiser

I'm pretty much done with the basic model of the Zeus Class. I basically meshed the Sovereign, Intrepid, and Defiant class all into one ship along with the question "What if the Defiant was just the saucer section?" in mind.

I'm still pretty noobish with lighting, but I'm starting to get a good feel for textures. For now, I'm considering the model "finished" until I take my independent animations class with my professor next semester. I'll probably also make a higher quality model by the end of next semester as well.

Note: This follows my nation of the Huntarian Alliance, so some wording and symbols will be different from standard federation issue but the style remains the same (IE: R.S.S. for Republic Star Ship).

EDIT: On the other hand, the registry number on the bottom appears to be a wee bit off...
