Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Smoothing Problem

I got me a little problem. I extruded the top faces of the cylinder, and they look all blocky. I even tried smoothing them out by doing the Polygons>Smooth, but that didnt work. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Try extruding several times, but scale inward and move upward only a little every time you do. Just by looking at the cylinder I can tell that you have no edges traveling around the shape horizontally.
