Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Adding Sub-Divisions after applying Bevel distorts object?

Hello!

I'm trying to make a base. I am starting with a small amount of sub-divisions on a cylinder. After I apply a "Bevel" to an edge and try to add more sub-divisions the object gets distorted? What is the best way to add more sub-divisions after I apply a "Bevel" without distorting the object? Am I supposed to start with a lot of sub-divisions from the very beginning?

Thank you for helping out this newbie!

Use the "add subdivisions" in the edit mesh menu or the smooth in the mesh menu or press the "3" button................dave

Dave thanks for your help! I just got an email last night that you replied. I took six days to notify me? Once again thanks!
