CPS Installation Guide

Installation

-Unzip the archive to a temporary folder (i.e. "c:\temp")

-Open the "icons" folder and copy all XPM files to your local icon folder
(i.e. "c:\Documents and Settings\your user name\My Documents\maya\4.0\prefs\icons")

-Open the "scripts" folder and copy all MEL files to your local script folder
(i.e. "c:\Documents and Settings\your user name\My Documents\maya\4.0\scripts")

The following section describes how to add CPS icons to your shelves.

-Start Maya

-Open the shelf that should contain the CPS icons

-In the command line type cpsSetup and confirm by pressing enter

Three icons will be added to the shelf to call the Connect Poly Shape Options,
CPS Control and CPS Toolbox. If an error occurs during the setup process, a
window will show you which files are missing and where you must copy them.

If you are not going to use the shelf icons you can execute the three tools by
typing their respective name in the command line or script editor and confirm
by pressing enter. Please note that MEL commands are case sensitive.

Use the following commands to start the tools:

connectPolyShape
cpsControl
cpsToolbox
cpsAttributes
