Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

They only reason i went of the squid was i really don't know how to create a shader that gives the same look as a real squid. I'll just model both for a bit and see what model developes better.

Hehe, if you can't decide, you should put them all in the contest. Lol, have the crustacean chasing the squid which is chasing the seahorse! Classic user added image

I like your crocodile type thing. I think u could use both the crocky and the squid in a scene.

Very NICE!. like your model alot.
A suggestion, the snot has some small bumps on the top of it. If you made them look like small rounded horns/bones it may make the model a bit more interesting.

Thanks. The snout needs a fair amount of work on it anyway. I'll see if it needs them after he has a mouth full of teeth.

oh, and welcome to SM. user added image
