hey ckyuk, thanks for the link to the script man. i am terrible at lights, and rendering for that matter...but GI_Joe made my renders look a lot better.
great progress on the model.
the idea about the bridge and the sea sounds very intersting.

How did you make the model when you originally made it? I have to imagine you used reference pictures, a toy model, drawings or something.

I didn't model it against orthographic drawings if that's what you mean. But i have got a couple of photos of a carving that i used as reference.

Love the detail in that train. But Just out of interest what's the poly count on that model? I'd just like to know so i can tell how unificient my model is.

I'll need it because i haven't got a clue where i'll start when it comes to texturing and the files will probably cripple my computer, but let's get the modelling finished first.
