This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i
yeh sure, please note that im using ver 7 and dont know if the process differs inearlier versions.
make sure your character has a plane below it.
create a new render layer
select all objects (no lights) and place in the render layer
select this layer
hold the right mouse button over the layer, > presets > occlusion.
if it has worked correctly everything should go black
render away.
you can increase the quality of the render by selecting the sphere icon on the render layer, select the arrow next to out color and increase samples, 32 or 64 should be adequate.
update, adjusted leg length, feet and hand thickness, rendered in mental ray, im tryin to get to grips with lighting now cos i have problems in this area so would love some lighting as well as modelling feedback...cheers.
hmm i think i may have prefered him with shorter stocky legs they seem a lil stretched but if u were to keep it this way i think his chest looks outta proportion now, as to b4 when he was stocky it looked right. take a look i think u will notice.
As for lighting u will need to get some colour on him really b4 u try lighting and renders on him cause if u get it right b4 then it will all change once u colour him. So get that done 1st pal. Good luck.
looks awesome, I don't know why I didn't see this one before.
Im gonna have to try that occlusion render you explained. I didn't think it was that easy to do, thought there was more to it than that. Anyhow awesome work.
I think in the movie coming out, they're gonna use character designs like this.
And by the way, I got bumps all over my body and it itches! I don't know how chicken pox looks like, but I don't think its the pox...anyhow im itching like nuts so gonna end it here.lol
