it's getting there, definately got some character this one.
From the screens though i'd say you've got far too many polys for the shell, you should be able to get a similar result with half that, not so much a problem at the moment but it could result in one if you're planning on animating this little dude.
Looking good though, i do like the idea of him wearing the shell as an item of clothing
ok another update this shell is going in a different direction more of a costume that he will be able to change for different occasions
I will do the normal shell then spice it up with tuxedo version and other ideas I recieve from everyone ... that is if anyone still watches this thread.

Thanks for the comments. I am going to try and model John Travolta's outfit from Saturday Night fever because I want to animate my turtle just like the scene where John is walking down the street and that awesome music is playing.

man this character is coming a long way ..i am very impressed ..you do have the over the hedge look now and the shell is 10 times better .... cant wait to see the progress on this ....
I am stuck on how to create this effect for my texture. See the picture below of the Over the Hedge Turtle well I am trying to mimic the color scheme. I want to know how to create the greenskin with a highlight of brown on it. Any help would be appreciated. THanks.
