This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i
Yeah, I'm surprised the renders look good to. I'm using some pretty low settings in MR.
About the hard lines, I wanted an intresting look for the tank. Kind of roboteckish in a way. So in that respect, your going to see some intresting stuff in this model.
Finially had a chance to update my tank. I re did the gun barrels to give them a more futureistic look. The rocket pod has been there since my last update, it's just been out of sight. I added a little bit of detail to the body.
Thanks for the comment arran! I have 2 ideas of what kind of setting to put it into. My first idea would be a desert setting, to go along with whats going on over in the middle east. My second idea would be an urban enviroment set in the future. I'm leaning more towards the urban idea.
Here is a quick render with the tanks headlights on.
Personally I would stay away from putting your project in a setting based on real world events, like the middle east, unless you have something to say about it. That's just my opinion, though.
Thanks for the replies guys! I believe I will go with the urban city idea. It may not be set too far in the future, but just enough to look a bit futuristic. I hope to have more progress to show in a couple of days.
