Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

Well, just got back from seeing it over in Kingston.

Absolutely superb movie ... totally ruined by the fact it was in 3D (wish I'd realised this at booking ... I'd have waited until somewhere local was showing in 2D).

Still, when I can get to see it on a 'normal' screening, I'll definitely be going to see it again - the screenplay is one of the best I've seen in an action movie for a long time, and the characters are all incredibly well played.

... also, you just have to go see it for the dog... user added image

That reminds me... how incredibly weird and awesome would it have been if The Artist was in 3D... user added image

Ahh good, glad you enjoyed. I didnt think it was that bad in 3d really, no eye strain like Avatar. I think movies with 3d conversion like this are easier on the eye but I still prefer the 2d version.
I had to see the crew screening in 3d...LOL no choice. I think there are plenty of places showing it in 2d.

Yeah screenplay is pretty flawless. I cant fault it either. And Woola the dog...the design just says it shouldnt work...but it does...its cool!!

am off to see again soon

i saw it tonight. I really enjoyed it, but the cinema was less than a quarter full (cinema was in Angel Islington) we were also all given questionnaires about whether we liked the movie. bit strange for an opening weekend.

I saw it yesta in 2D (thank god I had the option) CG was great. I thought it was a little slow getting to the point towards the end as the story was not that hard to figure out were it was going. My best bit was how they showed him getting used to the different atmosphere. Without giving anything away for those not seen it, its funny but yet some how very believable. Think I should have watched this before chronicle (saw to 2 films back 2 back) as I enjoyed that alot more - but I still recommend this. Also no real pointing things at the screen for 3d moments I saw.

Problem is that I can't process 3D images due to an eyesight problem, so even with glasses all I see is a blurry double image and get a banging headache ...

just got back from seeing it and i thoroughly enjoyed it. I saw a lot of things that Lucas would have taken for star wars including the arena scene which totally reminded me of the rancor fight.
