Really nice! Yeah, as soon as I maxed the image I saw the stretching on the right column there. The thing that's irking me about this are the chairs, the cathedral itself is so beautifully done but then there is this brown blob of chairs that seem to be completely matte, oddly shadowed and perfectly uniformed in placement.

yeah chairs are crap, really CG, all the same shader, uniform etc. model is great and the textures look like they will be nice.
I think the lighting is pretty a standard setup. its sun and sky but it looks quite flat. needs more depth to it (not just DOF) on the left hand side the difference between the back wall and the columns is almost nothing. colour-wise i mean. there is no shadow or differentiation between them.
just a thought. overall its going in the right direction.

Moving on

Hi!
Had to take a break from this for a while. Thanks for the previous comments - they spurred me to push this on a bit. I revisited the chairs - new older style chairs and new texture. Finished Stained glass. Darkened left isle in post production. The volumetric light is low res at the moment so a bit noisy.

That looks so much better, nice! I really dig the shift in color temperature.

I think from some angles chairs are looking good. But from top+front they look really neat i agree. But hey it is a church, and who knows maybe pope is coming to visit user added image Imagine you are in an unpainted room that is being restorated or such with a lot of chairs and with very intense lights. The chairs will dominate the appereance in that case. I think the solution to the chairs would be lighting. The ones to the back can gradient into dark and get rid of that neat look. Plus; Painted windows and light tricks on them would be great... Project is looking great btw...
