Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

I shaped up his face a little and pulled out the other horn. Now I'm working on his ears. I don't know if I should worry much with muscle detail since I want to experiment with fur. Regardless...I'm anxious to start texturing this guy!!!

Whoa this is looking great! One thing that i did on my animal with the same kinda body type is i figured out something about the neck. You see the dip you have to the head? It should realy be a nice straight line that goes from the back of the skull to the top of the hump. Just i realised that all these animals dont really have shoulderblades then a neck, its all merged into one like a funnel to the head user added image. I love how the face is going though user added image

"I should call you sugar maple tree cause i'd totally tap that" haha

looks great to me, very impressive! you arent building it in half and duplicating it? ...then you would only have to fix one ear instead of two user added image
