Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character
I was supposed to posed my finished 3rd model here today but I kinda passed out on my computer late last night so eheh..not done..but heres the finished 2nd model. i didnt keep them triangulated, i figure ill do it later when my UVs are mapped..i have 1 week to texture all 3 of these biatches ahhhhhhh!
Hey, your models all looked very safisticated, like their structures did not look amaturish at all. Are you very interested in machine like stuff since you were little or what?
I was testing what i learned on UV mapping a bit. So I came up with some tests. As time goes, ill get the handle of doing this process better. But for now, heres a try:
Hey whats up. Just wanted to say thanks to all of you who is in this challenge. Its really inspiring me and driving to learn things I once before didnt know. Anyway, i spent a good 4 hours after successfully doing my first uv (the ninja guy. hes just a test lemon ), I decided to put my newly acquired knowledge to use by mapping my mantis-crab-like robot. I just now finished setting up the UVs, when i get back from dinner ill start the textures.
Anyway, here are some screenies. Actual uvmap size is 512x512.
Sorry my images are small, i have 56k so eheh.
