This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.

Just a guess why the background is acting up - looks like its clipping (as if your background is entering an area just out of range of the camera)...your vehicle is looking great. I just found this website...so, I'll try to get in on the July challenge.

Karen,

Thanks for the tip, I usually set that up when I first start a scene, but I forgot to do it this time, I will look into it. Welcome to Simplymaya!!!

Anyways, now MR is all screwy and keeps on doing that wied background... Anybody Know why?? Thanks alot,
----------------

that could be couse memory problems and scene subdivisions (BSP) is not enough..try to experiment with task size and memory limit ..also you can try to use GRID instead of BSP..but i am not sure if current MR fully supports grid spacing

Hey guys, I know one of the most extreme parts of my vehicle is the Treds. but I really just wanted to try this out real quick. I was thinking about making a fat tire with tire chains around it... this is just a test to compare the difference between the wheels on how they look on the truck. I make my tires the same way most other people do, but just creating one section and rotating it around. I am almost done... user added image (I think)

Here is the new (test) drivetrain and wheels... The wheel/tire/tread design is different than any I have made b4, but the drive train is almost identical to the Jeep. The only difference is the size of certain items and stuff, and there is a little more detail, I did model it all today though. Thanks,
Brian

It's cool brian. Great work as usual but I think I still prefer the other treads...the triangle ones.

Hmm... THats cool, but i am going to render the whole thing out to see what it looks like for fun user added image then I am goin to see what it would look like if I made it like Metal tank treads from the front to back.. I am just procrastinating from texturing lol... Thanks,
Brian

I say that the chains you have now, and put them over the 3 tire system you had before, like, over all three together like a tank.
