ok, the torso is slowly coming to me. nothing like a good industrial strength cage to house items such as hydraulic pumps and computer control systems. I've got to do some research on pumps so that I can make something resembling one. There will probably be a mess-o-hoses in the final version... assuming I get that far.

added the base of the forearm. the cylinder at the end of the arm will have at least two tools, a drill and chisel/chipper. The idea being that the bot can switch up tools on the fly. still researching pumps.

Forearm and "fist" concept. The fist would actually be a cylinder with two separate tools. Haven't really decide what tools, thinking maybe, a chisel/jack hammer sort of thing, a drill, maybe a cutting blade on the other hand. any suggestions?

I see good stuff coming up here. Those concept drawings look like a ton of fun. Hard to read on screen, but they look very techy and cool. Nice start on the model as well.
AlphaFlyte,
Hopefully this will make some sense of part of the sketches. This is the start of the "fist" of the bot. The idea is to use set driven keys so that as it spins counter clockwise the chisel moves forward for use and when its spin clockwise the opposite tool would move forward for use, while the chisel returns to the home position. This shows both in the home position, which would occur when the fist rotates 90 degrees and both tools are parrallel to the ground. Okay, maybe this won't make sense of the sketches...
Metallicjet66, thanks for the support.
