Thanks Guys,

Cris007, Its a really nice glider. Performs well in both Slope and thermal gliding. We are currently fitting it with a small spycam . . just need to improve on the range.

And its not expensive user added image

Cheers

You're really equiping it with a spycam? That sounds cool. How far away can it fly right now?

The radio control has a range of 1klm but you really wouldn't be able to see which way its facing at that range. So basically you can fly the model as far as you can see it.

The spycam keeps dropping out during some turns and if you fly too far away you lose the signal. Once I extend the range it should work fine.

Its really good fun to fly Radio Control models, but if you do plan on doing it, join a club first . . it will save you destroying your first model.

Cheers

Sounds like fun. I might just get me one some day (though finding a club around where i live might prove to be quite difficult).

I don't think I'll get time to finish. I had a quick play with some renders today but that's about it. If I get a day or two between now and the new year I might get it done.

Here is a small update.

That is a "really nice" render. I think you should enter it as is. It really looks good in my opinion. Very nice shadows!

Thanks Guys,

I tried something really funny today.

My idea! to take a photo of the actual model and then recreate the exact same scene in 3D . . . Well all the photos I took looked crap compared to the Maya stuff :headbang: So if I want to make it look like my photos, I need to do a really crappy render :lmao:

I will try to get something in before the deadline.

Cheers

Are you going with a scene like your last post or are you zooming in a bit on the controller?

I'm not sure. We just had some visitor who I showed the picture and like everyone else, they all liked the Radio. I am going to try a few different layouts and resolutions to see what looks best. I'll try to get the radio a little closer to the camera.

I'll post a few possible layouts and get some feedback.
