idk mirek ... ???

Joopson- The reason the render is so... crappy is cuz its almost completly Global Illumination- very little direct illumination is coming thru. But I will rerender it for all day, maybe it will come out OK.

holy crap- after 13.5 hours- a mere 300 muatations per pixel! user added image I sure hope 0.5 is faster, the guy was reporting, on a 2.8ghz machine (in indigo 0.5)- 1400mpp after 10 hours; im getting 300mpp on a 3.2ghz HT machine in 13.5 hrs (on indigo 0.4)

man, you guys are crazy, I hope your NOT staring at the frame as it renders?? 3-5 hours for a single frame?? I don't get it?? BUT, its a dirty job and some one's gotta do it. I guess that's how render programs are made, or wow, what a hobby, puts new meaning to 'techno-freak' or 'duff.'

take it easy and life will be easy

It gets better the longer you leave it running, the fuzzyness is because the render has been canceled (like effect you get using FG in Mantal ray if you cancel that)

Really! that dosent look like JPEG Compression, thought JPEG confined it into blocks for the DCT.

well, bright dots are MLT artifacts... leave it on enough and they will go away, hopefully :p

my own test of Indigo 0.5.

Bidirectional MLT, 400 mutations per pixel, 25 minutes.

I dont care that Photon mapping can get the same results with 100k photons in 1/4 the time (which I doubt) but for an unbiased render, caustics are hard. Very hard.

I just wanted to test caustics.

plus the setup is very simple with the newest 3ds Max exporters for Indigo 0.5
