This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.
maya software, you can see its much better.but with maya software, the render wont look that real..or less than with mental ray.is there a way to improve the look of the fur rendered with mental ray.
I think its your samples....
open up the fur description in the attribute editor and go to the fur shape node under mental ray settings there is a min max samples.. its prolly at something like min 1 max 2... up the max samples to 3 or 4 and see what happens.. I bet it fixes it.
thanx caligraphics,it works fine.
thanx mayafreak even if it doesnt work
the method work fine but it takes a lot of time to render.i took about 2:24 to render stg nice but its still a littler worst than what maya software render.
to increase the quality with MR try also
* change the Fileer in Multi-pixel Filtering to Mitchell or Lanczos
* lowering the Constrast Threshold to like 0.05 or 0.01
and of course if you use FG you have to have pretty good settings there too.
