This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i
Test-1 image depicts a mirror surface with some spheres reflecting (for reference) and a polygonal cube with an image applied to its surface (las meninas painting). The spheres don't seem to reflect as blurry but the painting does? So I'm not so sure the "mirror" material is the problem? Maybe it is though.
I will subsequently attach test-2 that shows the opposite angle view of the painting that needs to be reflected in the mirror. Please next post for ths image.
I was using maya software. I've actually never used mental ray. I did just try mental ray though and the frame did not render. My render screen came up grey? Not sure what happened? Any thoughts?
I redered using maya software. The problem: the material I created with the painting (image)...well, in the file attributes there is a "filter" setting. My filter setting was switched to "quadratic". I turned off the filter and the image reflects quite nicely.
