Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

My room texturing

its very simple modeling but nice and hard texturing so that do you think about it?

it is a very good start. But watch the hotspots created from the lights on the floor and wall. Also try turning you reflection atrribute down to like .033 or none at all. Consider the surface youare trying to simulate.

The textures look ok, but you should work on the shaders a bit more. The refelection is deffinatly turned up way to high for the walls IMO. I also think the ceiling could be lowered and the camera angle changed just a bit.

We perceive the world not as it really is, but as it is useful for us to perceive.

I like the cupboar and the meterial of it. But why do you use such a high resolution and no anti-aliasing at all? The map on the wall doesn't look good too, and I would use bumpmapig on the carpet, I think you know how to use it. (Paprasyk kitu, pamatysi, puls aiskinti, kas tas bumpmaping'as ir visa kita user added image, nu arba teks man...user added image ) Sorry for that strange text...

cool, a magic carpet... or at least it appears to be floating user added image

Looks like you're using a single bright light source, causing areas to be washed out like the map and hot spot on the floor. Try a lower strength directional light for shadowing and multiple low strength point lights to act a fill lights where needed.

Also agree the walls are too reflective.

nah, it's got to be floating. How else would you be able to see the edge where the floor and wall meet under the length of the carpet. user added image

Of course the carpet is floating.user added image Or maybe it's not a carpet at all, cos where have you seen a carpet wit such a shiny specular. Maybe the author will say...

Try moving the light maybe in the middle of the room and changing the decay rate to quadratic. you will have to increase the number that significantly by typing it in. You can also try setting up light links, I believe there is a free posted tutorial on this subject. Also watch the specularity or "shine" as you put in on the dresser.
