Beer glass scene creation
This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.

basic questions: input in channelbox

Hi,

I am in the process of learning maya. I seem to be having a recurring problem with the channelbox; the input option is sometimes not shown. I was wondering if someone could please explain what is the input, how to define it, and how to make it appear in the channelbox. (perhaps it's playing hide and seek with me!)

I would appreciate a quick response as it is holding me back from a project.

Thank you in advance for your time and understanding.

Hey...basically the inputs is like the "history" of the object..you have to make sure that you have construction history set to "on" so that you have inputs (it's on the status line)...the inputs will stay there until you delete the history of the object (edit...delete by type...history)....it's a really nice feature cuz you can basically make your own default settings for every object..such as the number of sections or the radius of the object...
hopefully that helps a little...take it easy
