This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

view distance??

hi i have expericne in maya i have made some simple models before but know i got the full version of 6.0 and i have a viewdistance problem
my scene will dissapear into the grey like a line is drawn to limit what i can see. i got screenshots. it never did this before

In your viewport -- (Persp in this case)

View -> Camera Attribute Editor

Near Clip Plane -- how close to the camera do you want Maya to Draw? (Maya Units, mine's set to 0.1)

Far Clip Plane (your problem) -- how far from the Camera do you want Maya to Draw? (Maya Units, mine's set to 1000)

You can make it as large or as small as possible... but your performance will drop.

ty but i figured it out before i read this LOL . sry now ill be back soon with my OH-58D Kiowa chopper model....
