maya just doesn't start..

Hi folks, this is my first post, i searched over the web but found nothing. When i try to launch maya Windows says "application failed to initialize properly, error code 0xc0000034, press OK to terminate the application"
I have windows XP PRO SP2 and maya 8.5... Hope you guys can sort it out cause i'm getting nuts :headbang: :headbang:

i had that problem before, did you change your network card by any chance? because i think that errors is related to expired license. try updating it to your current mac:address

I thank you but i didn't change my config in any way, so it's not a MAC issue.. However, thank u for the help user added image, any other hint is welcome

oh yes, 2 times at the moment. Installation and troubleshooting are time-demanding so i'll try later, searching google or microsoft.com for my problem didn't help at all..
I'll try a good ol' format, just after a 25-DVD backup..

Ok, problem solved. There were some dlls missing, had a hard time discovering the problem, i finally used filemon utility and i managed to solve the riddle without formatting my pc..Now maya starts well and i'm ready to learn user added image
however thank you all and see ya on the forums user added image
