Where is Modelling?

Hi Everyone!

I'm really new at Maya and this problem could therefore be really stupid and basic... but here goes.

I'm running Maya 2008

I've started working with some free tutorials from simplymaya .com to get started and I started with the one from Kurt Boutilier, the one with Human forming etc.

In the first part Kurt shows how to add isopams by making sure you are in Modelling-mode in the top left corner and then you can add Isopams.

My problem is that I do not have the option of choosing Modelling, I have:

- Animation
- Polygons
- Surfaces
- Dynamics
- Rendering
- nCloth
- Customize...

I can't seems to find Modelling, and i'm therefore kinda stuck.

Hope you can help me !

they split that section into polygons and surfaces, so choose whichever one you are working with (In this case, surfaces)

And don't worry about asking stupid questions, because we all did at one point, so we are happy to answer them user added image
