VIP explosions test WIP...
This looks a LOT better animated, but then again, so do most explosions
I'll be posting my movie of this in the next few days or so....
NOTES:
NO FLUIDS were used for this shot!
This is All Maya particles and shading, with the exception of:
1. The small piece of stock footage in the very center.
2. The main background plate.
3. The plane pieces and shrapnel are rigid-body geometry of course
Each 720x486 D1 frame renders out at less than 1minute and 30 sec. (Fluids take at least 10 times longer roughly)
I have not YET added the MAIN particle explosion to the composite as it is all still rendering
