Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

place2dtexture

Hi, in the past when i apply file to my color, it will give me place2dtexture and file1 node. But recently, due to unknown reasons when i apply file to my color, it gives me place3dtexture instead and i have to delete it in the hypershade and manually link it to place2dtexture.

Anyone knows how to solve it and why ?

Most likely you have your creation options set to 2D projection. In hypershade go to Create> 2D Textures > 2D Normal.
