Extrude Along a Curve

Hi Im trying to create a water slide and I was experimenting on how to do it through extruding the edges of a cylinder along a curve. These are my results. Anyone know what settings I can change to get better results

In Surfaces menu>edit curves>reverse curve direction

You're supposed to draw the curve in a specific way (clockwise or counter-clockwise, I'm not sure).. anyway if you draw it the 'wrong way' its direction switches.
