This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.
I actually agree with you. I just wanted to start a discussion with people advicing the tool they personally use and write benefits, adv. and disadv. Was going to try Mari but on their website it says it only works on machines with Nvidia cards...
And also i havent used a 3d painting tool before. So checking the official web pages of the software developers wont be a good start, since they only promote their own products. For instance, Autodesk doesnt say; "Our viewport dont handle millions of polygons, so if you are thinking about importing something huge from zbrush try xsi instead, their viewport performance is better."
I got my desktop from repair today. They offered me a new display card with a refund for my old one. I replaced my ati radeon hd5750 with nvidia gt440. And guess what ! I have been trying Mari software for about an hour now. Duuuuuuuuuude, its ownage...
Im with Gect I like Mudbox the only thing I would like to change is its file system for meshes I would like some thing more like zbrushes subtools............dave
